Willis Programs history is rooted deeply in offering independent brokers and their clients superior insurance programs designed to meet the specific needs of each niche industry we serve. From our start as local insurance broker, to our current national reach with over 30 insurance programs, we have always succeeded by combining passion and commitment for what we do with a dedication to our client needs.
 

1962

The ski program, later branded as MountainGuard, is established with a predecessor firm in Hartford, CT.

1976

Kendall Insurance, Inc. becomes a Managing General Agent (Program Manager) with the aquisition of the Ski Program.

1989

Kendall Insurance, Inc. is acquired by Corroon & Black, and then ultimately, Willis. Kendall Insurance, Inc. is a re-named, Willis of New Hampshire, Inc.

1995

Willis of New Hampshire, Inc. becomes intensely focused on program business.

1996

RecycleGuard is launched to serve the needs of recyclers. (Two years later the program receives the endorsement of the Institute of Scrap Recyclers Industries, ISRI).

1998

With expertise in the resort business, through writing ski resorts, we launch ResortGuard.

2002

Willis of New Hampshire, Inc. moves away from retail business to focus exclusively on programs.

2006

Willis Programs opens its Tampa Office and acquires a Tampa based company.

2008

HRH/Willis merger adds HRH program operations: Freberg Environmental and Smith, Bell & Thompson, Inc. to the Willis Programs family.

2011

Willis Programs manages 30 national programs.

2012

Willis Programs launches 3 new programs: Rent-ItGuard, DairyProtector and PizzaGuard.

2013

Willis Programs and Freberg Environmental launches 4 new programs: FEI-Follow Excess, FEI-CGL/Products Pollution, FEI-Lender Environmental Liability.

2016

Stacy Brown assumes the role of President & Chief Executive Officer of Willis Programs.
